The Familiar Strange

This project is a series of staged photographs that focus on surreal horror. I aimed to create nightmarish and uncanny photos that will make the viewers uncomfortable. They portray a haunting illustration of distorted humanity that delves into uncanniness by transforming familiar faces into something unsettling. This series is heavily inspired by Sigmund Freuds "The Uncanny" and the implications it provides about humanity.
